Our gites at the Ferme

de l'Airbois are nestled in magnificent natural surroundings in the Condroz. They are designed to accommodate large groups in a place full of charm and authenticity.

Our gites at the Ferme de l'Airbois are not "Green Key" certified, but that doesn't stop us from implementing a series of measures to promote biodiversity:

• In summer, we only trim the hedges from the end of July/beginning of August. This allows the chicks to grow and the insects to forage on the flowers as they develop.
• Our flat stone wall is home to a host of insects and lizards
• From May to the end of July, we leave patches of grass unmown to encourage the appearance of flowers, insects and butterflies, which then feed the birds.
• Weeds are pulled out by hand
• In the vegetable garden, you'll find a series of logs with lots of small holes drilled in them, to provide a home for solitary bees.
• In summer, we only water with rainwater
• We are also part of the Natagora Nature Network. This involves following a detailed charter that you can find on the Natagora website.
